Cory Godbey’s Labyrinth is based on Jim Henson’s short story and movie about a 15-year-old girl, Sarah, who accidentally wishes away her baby brother, Toby, to the Goblin King, Jareth. He will keep Toby unless Sarah can complete the Labyrinth in 13 hours. Godbey talks about his comic and his excitement in regards to being a part of Free Comic Book Day 2013.

FCBD: For those who might be new to your comic book, give a quick rundown. What can we expect to see in terms of story and art?
CORY GODBEY: You might see a Labyrinth, a sprawling conflict with goblins, or a tea party.
FCBD: What has been your favorite part of book or character to tackle?
CG: I’ve always loved Jim Henson’s worlds and the chance to get to play in one and contribute to the legacy even in a small way is always wonderful. The characters from Labyrinth are amazing; I absolutely love to draw them. I would say that’s my favorite part, getting to interact with the characters and draw them. (Thanks and apologies to Brian Froud!)
